Push On 03:50
We go forward in the moon I step sideways into you Being crumbles like an old brick wall Falling as we push on through And I know you won’t let me down No matter what I do Yes I know you won’t let me down So let’s just push on through. Backward rider in the breeze He comes for you, he comes for me My fingers ache like I’m a weathered oak Full of insects and disease.

Dark Horse 02:46
I woke up and down the steps I ran into your arms your clean white dress and hair a mess blew brilliant alarms into my ears and it's something worth seeing when you turn your eyes to me tell me, babe, do you believe in everything you see? Believe in me That's love I descended into you Like ships into the sea In a maze of altercade I hoped that you would leave me hanging on to something worth believing like comic Aristophanes when you're down I'll lift you up dig deep into you; fill it up with me That's love You were the dark horse on which I rode I gave you my sword and shield, myself exposed To witness an honest man with honest deeds Falling on his bloody knees God has chosen all but me and I have chosen you Yes I have chosen you That's love

Remember Me 01:37
Please remember me when I'm gone Smile when you think about me singing you this song and I will look above the clouds into the great mysterious blue and think about you singing along Now when I'm looking at you all I see is a melody arranged in triplet form sung so soft, and so it seems even if I lose the moment or the tune I'll think about you singing to me

Hold me close and closer still I’m a fool for loving you, a fool for loving you But I don’t mind, not one bit I wouldn’t change you for the world Oh darling, oh my darling would you stay, stay. Oh darling, oh my darling would you stay Stay forever, stay Love me till the day I die Then love me still. Love me darlin’, love me I’ll be true, true as the sun in the sky I’ll be yours, yours my darling, yours And heaven couldn’t change my mind I see it illuminated in your eyes And when the day is done, to you I run Oh, you hold me so dear that I got nothin’ to fear The only man I’ll ever need is you, is you Oh darling, oh my darling would you stay, stay. Oh darling, oh my darling would you stay Stay forever, stay

about

My request for the band is simple: more, please. More blood, sweat, tears, booze, ultra-lights, magic fairy dust or WHATEVER combination birthed this beauty.
-Lara Crombie, WeHeartMusic.com

It's almost impossible not to be charmed by singer Kay Gillette's warm, intimate vocals.
-Pete Kearns, Snobsmusic.net

In the last year, minimalist folk duo Bella Ruse have hit the ground running, going on three national tours and recording three EPs. They have also fully funded their upcoming full length album via Kickstarter.com with the generous support of their fans all across the country. Their simple but engagingly intimate show has impressed audiences from their hometown of Minneapolis to Seattle to Hollywood, and their songs Push On and Dark Horse have received radio and podcast play worldwide. After only a year together, band members Kay and Joseph are poised to have a big impact on the national scene.
